Duhart Milon 2016 has been released at €55 per bottle ex-negociant, a 12.5% increase on the 2015 release price of €48. It is being offered by UK merchants for £640 per 12×75, up 20.3% in Sterling terms on the 2015 release of £510 per case.
Jancis Robinson gave a score of 17+, praising this year’s offering for the fact that it ‘very much speaks of the vintage with its freshness and intensity.’ Neal Martin scored the wine at 92-94 points, commenting that it was a ‘classic, conservative Duhart-Milon’ that was a ‘step-up from the 2015’.
Buyers looking for value might be attracted by the 2008, which scored a higher 94 points, has several years in bottle and is currently available at a slight discount to the most recent release.
