As part of this year’s Bordeaux En Primeur campaign, Château Canon La Gaffelière 2022 has been released at €64.80 per bottle ex-négociant, up 20.0% on 2021’s opening price (€54 per bottle).
It is being released with a recommended retail price of £780 per 12×75 (€ 75,6 / HK$ 635 / CHF 76,8 / £ 65 / $ 92 per bottle), up 20.4% on the 2021 release (£648).

Critics’ scores
Neal Martin (Vinous) awarded the wine a barrel range of 93-95 points, calling it ‘utterly charming’. In his words: ‘Excellence from a Saint-Émilion that just never lets you down’.
William Kelley (Wine Advocate) said the wine was ‘supple, suave and sophisticated, with a lively core of fruit, powdery tannins and a long, saline finish’ and awarded it 94-96 points.
James Suckling scored the wine a barrel range of 97-98 points, calling it ‘full-bodied with a beautiful center palate and a lovely fine tannin texture’.
