As part of this year’s Bordeaux En Primeur campaign, Château d’Armailhac 2021 has been released at €32.40 per bottle ex-négociant, unchanged on the 2020’s opening price.

Critics’ scores
Neal Martin (Vinous) scored the wine 90-92 – a little more than fellow Vinous critic Antonio Galloni (89-90) – saying it was ‘tight and focused’.
William Kelley (Wine Advocate) said it was ‘reminiscent of a modern day version of this estate’s delicious 1999’ and rated it 91-93 points.
Fair Value analysis
According to the Liv-ex Fair Value methodology, Armailhac’s closest correlation is with age. As can be seen from the chart above, the 2020, 2019 and 2014 vintages look better value in relation to today’s release.
All three vintages are not only cheaper currently but have better scores from Martin as well.
