As part of this year’s Bordeaux En Primeur campaign, Château Haut Batailley 2021 has been released at €39.60 per bottle ex-négociant, the same as the 2020’s opening price.

Critics’ scores
Neal Martin (Vinous) said it was a wine, ‘for Bordeaux lovers looking for old-school claret’ and scored it 90-92 points.
Antonio Galloni scored it 93-95, William Kelley (Wine Advocate) 90-93 and Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW (The Wine Independent) 87-89.
Fair Value analysis
Buyers looking for value might consider the 2019 and 2020 vintages which have better scores than the new release and are less expensive with respective Market Prices of £420 and £440 per dozen.
Older vintages with similar or better scores and lower Market Prices include the 2014, 2015 and 2017.
