  • The new vintage of Comtes de Champagne has been released.
  • Yjar makes its debut.
  • Cheval Blanc’s white and Aussie labels also out as La Place autumn programme winds down.

The latest vintage of Taittinger’s Comtes de Champagne was released this morning. The 2011 follows on from the hotly-anticipated 2008 that was released last September.

James Suckling has rated the new vintage 97-points and at £1,070 per dozen, it compares favourably to recent back vintages.

Yjar is here

As mentioned yesterday, the brand-new “Yjar” was also released this morning at €58 ex-négociant. Well-scored by critics and highly recommended by Jane Anson, it looks very respectable at £231 per three bottles.
