Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2020 has been released En Primeur for Primeur for €252 per bottle ex-négociant, up 40% on the 2019’s opening price.
The wine is being offered for £3,024 per case by the international trade. This is 5% less than the current Market Price of the 2019.

Critical Opinion
The 2020 La Mission was one of Benchmark Critic Neal Martin’s favourite wines. He rated it 97-99 points saying it was “cooler” and “more streamlined” than some recent vintages, “an enthralling wine in the making from Jean-Philippe Delmas and his team”.
Fellow Vinous taster Antonio Galloni awarded a score of 96-98 points and said it was “silky and pliant”, “all finesse”.
“A stunning expression of this vintage!” enthused Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, who likewise awarded it 97-99 points.
Jane Anson for Decanter rated it 98-points and said it was “the wine to go for in the Domaines Clarence Dillon stable this year”.
Fair Value
As can be seen from the Fair Value chart, among vintages rated 98-points or more by Martin, the 2020 is currently the least-expensive.
The 2015, at £3,050 per case, is the closest in price.
The 2014, 2012 and 2008 vintages, all with 96-points, also look good value at present among current physical vintages.
