Château Malescot St Exupéry 2020 has been released En Primeur for €38.40 per bottle ex-négociant, up 28% versus the 2019.
The wine is being offered by the international trade for £462 per case, down 2.9% on the current Market Price of the 2019.

Critical Opinion
The 2020 was rated 94-96 by Neal Martin who described its, “controlled opulence” on the nose. The vintage, “continues the purple patch for this property and comes highly recommended,” he concluded.
His fellow taster at Vinous, Antonio Galloni, said the estate has been, “one of the under the radar gems in Bordeaux these last few years. The 2020 is another gorgeous wine from the château”.
Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW of the Wine Advocate rated it 95-97 and James Suckling 97-98, asking if it was the “best” of the 2018-2020 trilogy.
Fair Value
Malescot St Exupéry has the highest correlation with age, and by that measure the 2020 looks the better valued of the 2018-2020 trio.
With regards score, the 2005, 2009 and 2019 are the highest-scored vintages on 96-points (NM). The 2020 sits in the next bracket down on 95-points with the 2010 and 2016 vintages and is cheaper than those wines as well.
