The international trade is offering the wine for £695 per 12×75, 7% more than the current Market Price of the 2019.

Buyers might wish to look back to the more affordable 2016 vintage, with 93-points from Neal Martin. See more Fair Value analysis below.

Critical opinion

The 2020 vintage has not been tasted by many critics yet.

Rating it for JancisRobinson.com, James Lawther MW noted that it has “highest percentage yet of Cabernet in the blend”. He described it as “fruit-driven and structured”, with “plenty of drive from the word go”. He gave it 17.5-points.

The wine also received 95-points from Jane Anson (Decanter) and Jean-Marc Quarin.

Falstaff awarded it a range of 92-94 and wrote that it had “good, tactile, mineral and refreshing finish”.

Fair Value

Most of the previous Gruaud Larose vintages are available in the market for less.

Buyers seeking value have plenty of choice, including the 2016 (NM 93) and 2014 (NM 92), which are 16% cheaper.
