Haut Batailley 2019 has been released at €34.8 per bottle ex-negociant, down 21.6% on the 2018 (€44.4). The wine is being offered by the international trade at £432 per 12×75, down 16.9% on the last year’s release.
Today’s release is coming to the market above a number of older vintages, including the 2015 (NM 93) available at £345 per case. However, it is the cheapest of the last three.
Haut Batailley was purchased by the Cazes family, owners of Lynch Bages (with Lynch Bages 2019 also released this morning), in early 2017. The estate’s 2016 vintage has not yet been released.

James Suckling was the first major critic to release his assessment of the 2019 Haut Batailley. He awarded the wine a barrel range of 95-96 and said it is “one of the most structured I have had from here. Cazes family making the difference”.
