Lynch Bages 2015 has been released at €84 per bottle ex-negociant, up 40% on the 2014 release price of €60. It is being offered by the trade at £890 per 12×75, 54.8% higher than the 2014 (£575).
At this level, it is pitched between the “great” years of 2005, 2009 and 2010, and the “off” vintages. Its set of scores from critics is mixed: Jean-Marc Quarin awarded it 87; James Suckling scored it 95-96. It received 93-95 from Neal Martin who called it “an excellent, top-grade Lynch Bages”.
Buyers looking back might look to the 2009 or 2010: they have strong in-bottle scores and are available at just small premiums on the 2015.
