The Claret Chip Index rose to 363.57 on Friday, up 0.7% on the previous week. But with much of the fine wine trade closed for August, and trading somewhat subdued, the First Growths seem to be struggling to find a a clear direction.
The Fine Wine 50 Index hit 342.01 on Friday, a rise of 0.16 points (0.05%) on the day before.
