The 2021 vintage of Vérité’s La Joie, Le Désir, and La Muse has been released at €825 ex-negociant (per 3×75 mixed case). The recommended retail price is £1,139 per 3×75, which equates to £4,558 per 12×75.
While this release price is 7.4% below the release price of the 2019 collection (£4,920 per 12×75), it puts the 2021s at a premium to all recent vintages on the market.
The set of 2020s was not released via La Place.
Critical response
Erin Brooks (Wine Advocate) scored La Joie 96-98 points, Le Désir 95-97 points, and La Muse 93-96 points.
Lisa Perrotti Brown MW (The Wine Independent) remarked that the 2021 releases Vérité from are’ are firing on all cylinders’, awarding La Joie 100 points and both Le Désir and La Muse 98 points.
Pricing analysis
At this price, the 2021s enter the market at a premium to all other recent vintages.
Looking at back vintages, the 2014s represent a good opportunity. La Muse 2014 received a 100-point score from Wine Advocate and is available at a 54% discount to the 2021.
