Philipponnat, Clos des Goisses 2015 has been released at £2,320 per 12×75, down 4.9% on the 2014’s opening price (£2,440 per case).

Critical response
Writing in March 2024, Antonio Galloni (Vinous) was impressed by the 2015’s ‘density and nascent, embryonic power’. As the first Clos des Goisses to be fermented entirely in wood, Galloni added that the ‘balance of power and finesse that is especially captivating’. The score of 93-96 puts it in the range of multiple back vintages, but below the 98-point 2013 and 2008, and 97-point 2012.
Pricing analysis
Looking for a sign of what might happen to the 2015’s price, the 2014, released at £2,440 (5.2% above the 2015) has since fallen 22.1% in value. Its most recent trade occurred at £1,776 per 12×75, a discount of 27.2% to its release price.
For highly rated back vintages, the 98-point 2008 has a current market price of £1,964 and looks like good value.
