Critical response

Neal Martin (Vinous) awarded the wine a barrel score of 89-91 points, describing it as ‘open and expressive’ and adding that its ‘supple opening suggests you could drink it now’.

Antonio Galloni (Vinous) echoed Martin’s sentiment, expecting that that it ‘will drink well with minimal cellaring’. He called the wine ‘potent yet accessible’ and scored it 90-92 points.

By contrast, Yohan Castaing (The Wine Advocate) thinks the wine ‘will regard some patience’, describing it as ‘deeper and more structured than usual’. He scored it 90-92 points.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW (The Wine Independent) gave the wine a score of 91-93 points. According to her, ‘it erupts from the glass with a powerful core of plums preserves, blueberry pie, and licorice, leading to suggestions of candied violets, crushed rocks, and juicy raspberries’.
