Critical response
The Wine Advocate’s Luis Gutiérrez awarded the wine a score of 100 points and called it ‘the finest vintage for Chadwick; the wine made my heart beat faster—it’s a wine of emotion’. He further noted that it is ‘[his] first 100-point wine from Chile!’, adding that ‘there are some 10,000 bottles of this’.
Jane Anson awarded the wine 96 points, calling it ‘well-defined and precise’, adding that it is ‘built to last, and will evolve slowly’.
Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW (The Wine Independent) also awarded the wine 96 points. She mentioned that ‘the medium to full-bodied palate delivers intense black and red fruit layers with beautifully ripe, fine-grained tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and earthy’.
Fair value
