As part of this year’s Bordeaux En Primeur campaign, Château Larcis Ducasse 2022 has been released at €72 per bottle ex-négociant, up 30.4% on the 2021 release (€55.20 per bottle).
It is being released with a recommended retail price of £867 per 12×75, a 32.2% increase on the 2021’s opening price (£656 a case).

Critics’ scores
Neal Martin (Vinous) awarded the wine a barrel range of 95-97 points, highlighting the ‘rich bouquet’, and a minéralité which ‘floods the finish.’ He adds that ‘this is a seriously fine Larcis Ducasse that exudes panache’.
‘A fleshy, opulent wine’, writes William Kelley (Wine Advocate) who awarded the wine a range of 94-95 points. He writes that the 2022 Larcis Ducasse will ‘appeal to readers who place a premium on flamboyant extravagance’.
Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Indendent) was more impressed, rating the wine at 97-99 points. She emphasises the palate ‘laden with rich, seductive, and amazingly energetic black and blue fruits’, and praises the ‘epic length’ of the finish.
