Neal Martin (Vinous) gave the wine a score of 93-95 points. In his tasting note he said ‘maybe it doesn’t quite deliver the complexity of the very best this estate has produced in recent year’. However, he adds ‘give it several years in a bottle as there is a lot of potential’.
Critics were divided when it came to this year’s La Fleur-Pétrus. William Kelley (Wine Advocate) awarded it a barrel range of 94-96 points. In his tasting note, he called it ‘the high point of the Mouiex portfolio this year’.
