James Suckling awarded the wine a barrel range of 97-98, calling it a ‘big move forward for Giscours’ and noting how it ‘opens like a butterfly.’

Fair Value analysis
There is no significant correlation between Château Giscours Market Prices and Neal Martin scores, the chosen critic for Liv-ex ‘Fair Value’ methodology.
Looking at the chart above, today’s release is coming to market at a significant premium to others on the market.
Even those confident in its quality might want to consider the 2015 vintage. It also has a Neal Martin score of 95 (the lower end of the 2022’s barrel range) and is available at a 20% discount to today’s release.
The 94-point 2016, 2018 and 2020 vintages also look attractive.
