As part of this year’s Bordeaux En Primeur campaign, Château Monbousquet 2022 has been released at €39 per bottle ex-négociant, up 8.3% on the 2021 release (€35 per bottle).
It is being offered by the international trade for £480 per 12×75, an 14.3% increase on the 2021’s opening price (£420 a case).

Critics’ scores
Neal Martin (Vinous) has not yet released his 2022 scores, but James Suckling awarded the wine a barrel range of 93-94 points. In his tasting note, he said it was ‘full and flavorful’ but ‘remains fresh and minerally’.
Fair Value analysis
Buyers looking for value may want to consider the 2019 vintage. It was awarded 92 points by Neal Martin and has a Market Price of £350 per 12×75, a 16.7% discount to today’s release.
The 2020 vintage also looks attractive. It was scored 91 points and has a Market Price of £338 per case.
