Neal Martin (Vinous) scored the wine a barrel range of 90-92 points, describing it as ‘classic in style’. Antonio Galloni (Vinous) awarded it a slightly higher 91-93 points and said it is ‘a powerful wine, but not quite the charmer it can be’.
Jane Anson scored it 92 points, adding that it ‘delivers consistency in an inconsistent year’. She noted that it was ‘the first vintage where it was Jean-Emmanuel Danjoy from beginning to end, after Philippe Dhalluin’s retirement’.
James Suckling said the wine was ‘well-framed’ with a ‘classy finish’, awarding 93-94 points. William Kelley (Wine Advocate) scored it 89-91 points but questioned if he was ‘being a little severe with [his] score’.
Lisa Perrotti Brown MW (The Wine Independent) scored it 87-89 and said it finished with a ‘skip in its step’.
