Critics’ scores
Neal Martin (Vinous) thought it was ‘quite concentrated for a Deuxième Vin,’ and ‘gutsy’. He rated it 89-91 points.
William Kelley (Wine Advocate) scored the wine 90-92 saying that while it, ‘can’t match the polish and elegance of Le Clarence de Haut-Brion this year, it’s a fine second wine’.
Antonio Galloni (Vinous) was less keen. He wrote that while ‘elegant and delicate’ he wished there was ‘more depth’. He continued: ‘Ultimately the 2021 feels a bit light’. He scored it 89-91 points.
