Critics’ scores

Neal Martin (Vinous) awarded today’s release a barrel range of 88-90 points. He said that the palate was ‘leading to an almost Left Bank finish’.

Antonio Galloni (Vinous) gave it 91-93 points and called it ‘exquisite’. He further remarked that ‘challenging conditions reduced the crop by nearly 50%’.

Like Martin, William Kelley (Wine Advocate) rated it 88-90 points. He noted that ‘some 80% of the blend is matured in foudres rather than barriques’ and that the wine is ‘produced by Cheval Blanc’s winemaking team’.

The wine also received 89-91 points from Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW (The Wine Independent) and 92-points from Jane Anson.
