As part of this year’s Bordeaux En Primeur campaign, Château Beychevelle 2021 has been released at €58.80 per bottle ex-négociant, 2.1% more than the 2020’s opening price.

Critics’ scores
Neal Martin (Vinous) rated the wine 91-93 noting that while it ‘does not possess the dimension of the previous vintage’, he still found it ‘quite an endearing Beychevelle’.
The William Kelley reported that he tasted the 2021 Beychevelle a total of five times across several visits to the region this year. He added it ‘only improved’ with every tasting. He rated it 91-94 points.
Fair Value analysis
The new release is the best value wine on the market today. According to the Liv-ex Fair Value methodology, Beychevelle’s best correlation is with age rather than score.
This means that vintages of Beychevelle rise in value with age, making younger vintages a good buying opportunity.
