Château Coutet 2021 released En Primeur

  • Château Coutet 2021 has been released at £376 per 12×75.

As part of this year’s Bordeaux En Primeur campaign, Château Coutet 2021 has been released at €26.40 per bottle ex-négociant, flat on the 2020’s opening price.

It is being offered by the international trade for £376 per 12×75. The 2019, 2017 and 2014 vintages look better value compared to today’s release. See more pricing analysis below.

Critics’ scores

Neal Martin (Vinous) awarded today’s release a barrel range of 93-95 points and said that ‘the palate is well balanced with fine acidity’.

Antonio Galloni (Vinous) gave it 90-92 points and said that ‘Coutet remains understated and somewhat reserved’.

The wine also received 95-96 points from James Suckling and 95 from Jane Anson.

Fair Value analysis

Buyers looking for value might consider the 95-point 2019, 2017 and 2014 vintages, which are available for less.

The 2014 presents the most attractive alternative, offering bottle age and available at a 33.5% discount.
