Figeac impresses in the 2021 Power 100
With rumours circulating the estate is due a promotion in the coming St-Émilion classification, Château Figeac raced up the Power 100 rankings from 75th place last year to 12th this year. This strong performance saw it rank as the third most powerful brand from Bordeaux, after Château Lafite Rothschild (2nd) and Château Mouton Rothschild (6th).
Figeac placed 11th in the overall value and volume rankings, having accounted for 0.9% of trade by value and 1.1% by volume between 1st October 2020 and 31st September 2021.
The brand was ranked 25th based on its price performance, having risen 24.1% on average during the same period.
The average trade price of £1,397 per 12×75 case, however, placed it 157th in the price rankings, making it the most affordable of the top 25 brands in the Power 100.
Meanwhile, a larger pool of its wines found a secondary market, with 33 different vintages trading in the space of a year.
