Liv-ex’s biennial classification reflects the changing market conditions. From this year’s classification, we can see the continuing trend of many second-hand markets, and it is reflected in almost every level.
These trends include falling Bordeaux trading share, market diversification (increased activity in Italy, Champagne, California and Rhone), and expanding markets. Even in major wine regions such as Burgundy and Bordeaux, buyers are looking for value.
