The 2020 Quintus has been released for €78 per bottle ex-négociant, up 16.4% on the 2019 release.
The international trade is offering the wine for £924 per 12×75, 23.2% more than the current Market Price of the 2019.
Critical opinion
Neal Martin awarded 92-94 points. He said: “This is a very suave Saint-Emilion that will be difficult to resist in its youth.”
Antonio Galloni said, “the 2020 is one of the finest vintages I have tasted here”. He awarded 92-94 points.
Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW noted, “judging from this barrel sample, this is the finest, most complex and complete Quintus yet. Bravo!” She awarded 95-97 points.
Fair Value
Prices for Quintus most closely correlate to Wine Advocate scores.
The 2020 vintage carries the highest ever Wine Advocate score since the winery’s acquisition by Domaine Clarence Dillon.
The 2019 vintage was previously the château’s highest scored vintage and looks good value compared against other wines in the 90+ point range, alongside the 2015 vintage.
