Critical Opinion
The Vinous team of Antonio Galloni and Neal Martin both rated the wine 94-96. “La Fleur-Pétrus is, above all else, a wine of understatement and elegance. The 2020 is especially fine,” wrote Galloni.
Martin added that it was a “serious” wine that would require some cellaring but “will be worth waiting for”.
Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW scored it 95-97 and James Suckling awarded 99-100 points, saying it was a “milestone” for the property.
Fair Value
The Pomerol property has the strongest correlation with Wine Advocate scores. The 2019 with the same score looks better value by comparison, as do the 2015 and 2012 vintages with their higher score.
