Brand Leroy, consisting of Domaine Leroy and Maison Leroy, regained the top spot in the 2020 Power 100 after being dethroned by Armand Rousseau (1) and Domaine Romanee Conti (2) in 2019.

The name of the game this year for Leroy was consistency. The brand placed in the top 50 for all categories, bar volumes traded. Its highest rank was in value traded, in which it placed 30th.

In price performance it ranked 34th but more importantly it was the third highest of the top 10 which helped cement its spot in pole position.

Drinks Business editor, Rupert Miller noted “Leroy is the only label to stay in the top five from last year and the fact that the other four labels alongside it are completely new is a sign of the churn of the market.”

The 2020 Power 100 demonstrates that Leroy remains a stronghold in Fine Wine, despite the constant pressure from a broadening market. And it is off to good start in 2021 – it’s the second most traded brand by value, narrowly trailing DRC.
