Ormes Pez 2019 was released at €16.8 per bottle ex-négociant, down 20% on the 2018 release price (€21). The wine is being offered at £210 per 12×75, a 16% decrease from the 2018 release of £250 a case.
James Suckling awarded the wine a barrel range of 92-93 noting the wine had a “full body, round tannins and flavorful finish.” Jane Anson came to the same conclusion, awarding the wine 92 points, adding the wine offers “brilliant value if looking for personality and appellation signature in St Estèphe.”

Today’s release is priced above several vintages already available on the market, however they are all scored in the high 80s. The single physical wine to score above 90, using the benchmark critics, is the 2016 vintage, and at just a 4.7% premium to today’s release it offers an in-bottle score and increased bottle age. Nonetheless the 2019, with current critic scores, appears to be fair value.
