Lagrange (Saint Julien) 2019 has been released at €29.4 per bottle ex-négociant, down 14% from the 2018 release price (€34.2). The wine is being offered by the international trade at £369 per 12×75, a 12.1% decrease on the 2018 opening price of £420 per case.
The wine comes with an international recommended price of 300 HKD and 37.90 CHF.

Jane Anson (Decanter) awarded the wine 95 points, noting “I love this wine, one of the most enjoyable of the vintage from St. Julien, with a strikingly seductive texture. Anson adds that “only 1/3 of overall production is in the 1st wine, lowest amount to date”.
James Suckling awarded the wine 93-94.
Today’s release enters the market slightly above a majority of the recent vintages, bar 2016 and 2018. The 2014 carries a score of 92 from Neal Martin and appears to offer relatively good value. Buyers looking for a higher scored physical wine may look towards the 2016, at 95 points from Neal Martin it sits at only a 6% premium to the newest release.
