Lafon Rochet 2019 received 93-94 points from James Suckling, who said that “the purity of fruit and balance in this young St.-Estephe is really beautiful with crushed-currant, stone and orange-peel aromas and flavors”. Jean-Marc Quarin scored the wine 92 points, while Jeff Leve (The Wine Cellar Insider), a range of 93-95.
Prices for Lafon Rochet, however, show little correlation to critic scores; instead, they rise with time. Buyers might wish to consider the 2014, with 92 points from Neal Martin, available at £280 per case.
