Jean-Marc Quarin has published a series of updates on his website containing his scores for the Bordeaux 2019 vintage. His most recent article, published on the 31st May, contains 98 tastings notes on the red wines from the vintage.
Quarin is now the second critic from our critic scores grid to publish multiple tasting notes on the Bordeaux 2019 vintage. Earlier in May, James Suckling published a handful of his Bordeaux 2019 scores. Other critics who have not yet released their full reports, have opted to publish their notes once the wines have been released.
Overall, Quarin’s top-scoring wines are Margaux, Cheval Blanc, and Lafleur – all of which received 98 points. A number of other wines, including yesterday’s release of Palmer 2019, received a barrel range of 97-98 points.
You can find Quarin’s notes (in French) here and see his top-scoring wines (so far) in the table below.
