Grand Mayne 2019 has been released at €25.2 per bottle ex-negociant, down 12.5% on the 2018 (€28.8). The wine is being offered by the trade at £317, down 8.4% on the 2018’s opening price of £346 per case.
Neal Martin (Vinous) awarded today’s release a range of 94-96 points, and said that “Grand Mayne has been on an upward swing in recent vintages and this is another outstanding wine from Jean-Antoine Nony”. The wine also received 92-94 points from Jeff Leve (The Wine Cellar Insider).
While the 2019 is the highest scored vintage from Neal Martin available on the market, it does not carry the highest price tag. Buyers looking for physical vintages might wish to consider the 2015 (NM 94), available at a similar price point.
