Client 2019 achieved 97-99 points from Neal Martin (Vinous), who said that “the purity that Ronan Laborde and his team have achieved should be applauded”. He continued: “This is a stunning Clinet, the best that I have encountered in barrel over 20 years of tasting. That creamy texture takes your breath away. Up there with the very best – a Clinet that rivets you to the spot”.
According to James Suckling (97-98), “the balance and texture of this wine is exceptional”. To see how their Clinet scores compare to those of other critics, visit our critic scores page.
Client prices show close correlation to ‘Benchmark Critic’ scores. As seen in the chart below, the 2019 appears to offer the best value compared to other vintages, falling well below the ‘Fair Value’ line. It is also the highest scored Neal Martin vintage.
The perfect 2009 (RP 100) now carries a Market Price of £2,000 a case.
