Canon Gaffeliere 2019 has been released at €49.2 per bottle ex-négociant, down 21.2% on the 2018 release (€62.4). The wine is being offered by the international trade at £617 per 12×75, a 19.7% decrease on the 2018 opening price of £768 a case.

Neal Martin of Vinous awarded the wine a barrel range of 93-95. Jane Anson (Decanter) gave it 95 points. James Suckling was equal in his praise awarding 95-96. Lisa Perrotti-Brown awarded the highest barrel range, (95-97)+, saying it is “a thrilling wine from the get-go and one that should age very well!”
Prices for Canon Gaffeliere have a 71% correlation to ‘Benchmark Critic’ score.
2019 releases among the ranks of 2015 and 2016 but at a 8.6% and 13.4% discount, respectively. Buyers looking for additional value may also consider 2012; at just a point shy of today’s release, it’s the best wine that can be bought in the £550 a case range.
