Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW (Wine Advocate) said that it had “oodles of freshness, finishing beautifully fragrant” and awarded 94-96 points.
James Suckling gave the wine a slightly higher barrel range of 97-98 points. He said that it was “muscular and beautifully formed”.
Other commentators include James Molesworth (Wine Spectator), who awarded 96-99 points and added that “this is a big one”. Jeff Leve (The Wine Cellar Insider) scored the wine 97-99 points and said that “in a decade this will be off the hook!”
Today’s Fleur Petrus release is coming to market above a number of other vintages currently available. Buyers may want to also consider the 2015, which was scored 95 points by Neal Martin and is available at a 17% discount.
