Champagne, the Rhone and the ‘others’ category also improved, while Italy maintained its share at 10.2%. The USA saw slightly decreased activity at 1.5% of the total trade.
The most active wines this week came from Bordeaux, with the exception of Altesino Brunello Montalcino 2012. Lafleur 2016 was in the top spot – it last traded at £10,010 per 12×75.
Meanwhile, Panos Kakaviatos (Wine Chronicles) released his Bordeaux 2018 tasting notes. Lafleur 2018 was among his top-scoring wines, with a barrel range of 97-100 points.
