The Liv-ex Fine Wine 100 Index – the industry benchmark – closed November on 313.37, down 0.18% on the previous month.
The top movers in November came from Italy and Burgundy. Sassicaia 2015 was the biggest riser, jumping by 26.7%. It was recently named Wine Spectator’s wine of the year, and was among the most traded wines in the past two weeks.
Armand Rousseau Chambertin 2015, which was October’s top mover, took second place in November (+20.1%). Masseto 2014 and Domaine Ponsot Clos Roche Vv 2015 also rose, though by a lower 6.6% and 6.5% respectively.
Like the biggest riser, the biggest faller came from Italy. Tignanello 2015 was down 6.5% on the previous month. The wine last traded at £752 per 12×75.
Beaucastel Chateauneuf Du Pape 2015, which made steady gains in October, fell by 4.9%. Two First Growths, Latour 2000 and Haut Brion 2012, also decreased in price by 5.4% and 4.4% respectively.
