Yesterday, James Molesworth released his Bordeaux 2017 En Primeur scores on Wine Spectator.
In a previous report, Molesworth says that 2017 “for the most part was a good growing season, save for one little thing: The worst frost in 25 years”.
He continues that the frosts “resulted in a dramatically reduced crop – about 40% of the previous year, overall”, but added that “some areas of Bordeaux actually produced as much or more in 2017 than they did in 2016”. Molesworth’s top-scoring reds can be found in the table below. Overall, 13 wines received scores of 93-96 points. These included Mondotte, Pavie, and Trotanoy also featured among James Suckling’s top-scoring Right Bank wines.
