The Liv-ex 1000 index – the broadest measure of the market – gained 2.8% in November to close on 333.54. This is another record high for the index, which has hit several all-time highs in the past 18 months.
Within the Liv-ex 1000, the performance of the sub-indices were mostly positive. The Burgundy 150 was the best-performer, up 8.8%. The primary driver behind the sub-index lies with the strong demand and rapidly rising prices for Armand Rousseau and other top Burgundy wines such as DRC.
The Rest of the World 50 also posted strong gains last month, up 2.2%. The Champagne 50 index was the only index to fall, down 0.7%.
