The Liv-ex Fine Wine 100 Index closed May on 303.94, up 0.4% on the previous month. The index has reversed most of the losses made in April, but remains just below its previous high of 304.30 in March.
The top movers last month were from a variety of regions. Both Leoville Las Cases 2010 (9.4%) and DRC, Tache (3.9%) were among the top risers, having both fallen in April.
Robert Parker’s 100-point Screaming Eagle 2012 was also up 5.5%.
Paul Jaboulet Aine, Hermitage la Chapelle 2012 was the biggest faller this month (-6.2%), losing the gains made in March, when it was the month’s greatest riser.
Overall a steady month in the face of a stop-start En Primeur campaign.
