Saint Pierre 2015 (St Julien) has been released at €40.2 per bottle ex-negociant, up 28.8% on the 2014 release price of €31.2. It is being offered by the trade at £420 per 12×75. This is a 37.7% increase on the first offer price of the 2014 (£305).
Critics have been divided in their reviews for the wine. It received 94-95 from James Suckling (“Full body, racy and fine”), 91-93 from Neal Martin (“…possesses 2015’s elegance and refinement”) and just 85-88 from James Molesoworth (“Shy on stuffing”).
Buyers seeking value in the back vintages might look to 2012 or 2008. Both have relatively strong scores and are available at discounts of 36.2% and 21.7% respectively.
