This afternoon Pontet Canet released a second 2015 tranche, up 17.3% on the first at €88 per bottle ex-negociant. The second tranche is expected to represent 40% of the total volume. It is understood that the first tranche sold out.
The wine is being offered by the international trade at £900 per 12×75. This is up 13.6% on the original merchant open price of the 2015 that came onto the market at £792.
The increase now puts 2015 at a similar level to the 97-point 2005 that is available in the market at £895.
