Clerc Milon 2015 has been released at €43 per bottle ex-negociant, up 28% on 2014’s release (€33.6). It is being offered by merchants at £480 per 12×75, up 48.1% on the 2014’s ex-London price of £324.
Neal Martin described the wine as “potentially an outstanding Clerc-Milon”, scoring it 91-93. James Molesworth of Wine Spectator said the wine was “pure and fresh” and scored it 89-92.
Clerc Milon is a strong performing brand, particularly popular with Asian buyers. It was the best performing wine in the Bordeaux 500 Index over 2015. The 2015 release, however, may present a challenge for buyers.
While it is offered at a 22% discount to the 93-point (RP) 2005, it is the same price to the UK buyer as the higher (and highest) scoring 94-point 2010.
