Clos du Marquis 2015 has been released at €36 per bottle ex-negociant, up 22% on 2014’s release (€29.5). It is being offered for £385 per 12×75, up 30.5% on the 2014’s ex-London price of £295.
As shown in the chart above, Clos du Marquis 2015 is the most expensive of the previous ten back vintages bar the 2005. Critics praised it: Neil Martin called it “a Clos du Marquis with swagger”, scoring it 91-93, while James Molesworth of Wine Spectator described it as “a delicious wine in the making” and scored it 91-94. However, buyers may be dissuaded by the price: the 93-point (RP) 2009 is available in the market for £25 less.
