The Liv-ex Fine Wine 1000 closed November on 243.29, a rise of 0.08% on October. Interestingly, it was buoyed by Bordeaux: the Bordeaux 500 index was its second best performing sub-index and also the second best performing of all Liv-ex indices, rising 0.3%. The Bordeaux Legends 50, which was the worst performer in October with a 1.2% drop, reclaimed some ground with a rise of 0.2%. The Liv-ex Fine Wine Investables Index, which is also comprised solely of Bordeaux, rose 0.1%.
Aside from Champagne, which rose 0.6%, all other sub-indices of the Liv-ex Fine Wine 1000 dipped. As we move into the final month of the year, only the Rest of the World 50 Index is showing any increase in 2014, with a rise of 2.8%.
