After posting healthy gains in January and February, the Liv-ex Fine Wine 100 remained flat in March. The index has risen 2.52 per cent year to date.
Fine wine prices shifted in both directions last month and the index edged down 0.04 per cent to 293.55. Pavie 2005, Leoville Barton 2003 and Lafite 2006 were among the most notable movers (having risen more than six per cent), while those on the downward slope included Cos d'Estournel 2005 and Haut Brion 2008. The index's top risers and fallers are shown in the table below.
