As highlighted in the last Cellar Watch Market Report, bid-offer spreads tend to widen during periods of market stress or uncertainty. Encouragingly, however, the value of bids on the exchange rose in January and spreads tightened. Spreads have narrowed further since the start of the month and are currently the tightest that they have been seen the end of July. Is market sentiment turning positive?
