Despite edging down slightly on Friday, the Liv-ex Fine Wine 50 Index has recorded positive weekly movement for the first time since the end of June. The index outperformed the Liv-ex Claret Chip (which fell 0.07 per cent last week) and closed at 371.65 on Friday - a change of 0.05 per cent on the previous week.
Latour 2008 gained the most ground, having risen from £5,300 on the 14th to £5,880 by the close of play on Friday. And while Lafite 2006 retraced its steps, the majority of Lafite vintages edged upwards, led by the 2005 and 2001.
The table below shows the index's top risers and fallers.
